BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Whether it’s hiking, biking, boating, or just enjoying one of Vermont’s many outdoor spaces – a new plan is in the works to make sure Vermont recreation is ready for the long run.
The Vermont Outdoor Recreation Economic Collaborative – or VOREC – and the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation have created a draft of their priorities for the next 5 years.
The roadmap was created through a combination of surveys to recreators and providers, and focus groups.
Engagement sessions to discuss the plan will be underway all month, starting with a webinar at noon on Tuesday.
