State leaders to visit Ludlow ahead of flooding anniversary

LUDLOW, Vt. (WCAX) – State leaders are visiting some of the hardest-hit communities ahead of the anniversary of last summer’s flooding.

Senator Peter Welch and Representative Becca Balint will be in Ludlow on Tuesday to meet with local leaders about flood recovery.

Last July, the Black River broke its banks, rushing into the town and temporarily cutting off the community.

On Tuesday afternoon, Welch and Balint will be visiting restored buildings at the Okemo marketplace plaza.
