Howard Center workers hold honk and wave for higher wages

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Howard Center employees held a honk and wave today to demand higher wages.

Workers stood at the corner of Flynn Ave and Pine Street in Burlington, holding signs and getting people to honk in support. They said they wanted to bargain a good deal with Howard Center management.

The worker’s union president says Howard Center workers deserve better.

“We’re out here demanding livable wage increases, and the end of right to work at Howard Center,” said Howard Center Worker’s Union President Andy Blanchet.

Blanchet says the Howard Center knows the employees’ wishes but has yet to make any changes.
