CHAZY, N.Y. (WCAX) – North Country students painted the Adirondacks on the walls of a Plattsburgh hospital.
Students in a Chazy Elementary School sixth-grade art class spent several weeks working on the art.
It depicts the North Country’s high peaks, iconic Adirondack chairs, boats and lakes.
They’re in the Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital solarium, with the goal of bringing families peace as their loved ones undergo treatment.
“I think it’s really cool because I know that I helped contribute to that and I know it might help people and make people more relaxed,” said Grace Rocha, a sixth grader.
The mural is in the oncology unit, where staff say patients and families have already given it great reviews.
