MILWAUKEE (WCAX) – North Country Congresswoman Elise Stefanik was passed over as Republican nominee Donald Trump’s pick for vice president, but she called his selection a strong choice.
Trump announced on Monday that he picked Sen. JD Vance of Ohio as his Republican running mate.
Stefanik was among those being speculated about as possible picks.
Monday, Stefanik said the former president made a “strong choice” and that she was “humbled and honored” to have been considered. She added: “Vance is a strong America First leader and proven conservative… I look forward to campaigning and working with him closely in the months and years ahead.”
