Vt. Agency of Agriculture releases guidance for flooded farm recovery

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Resources are available to help farmers recover from flood damage.

Farmers across Vermont got battered by floodwater again, ripping through fields and threatening an already thin bottom line.

The full scope of the damage is still unknown, but after last year’s flooding, many farmers were still recovering.

The Vermont Agency of Agriculture has released guidance for farmers impacted by flooding, which includes documenting and reporting any damages from flooding or severe storms to Vermont 211.

They also recommend you contact your county USDA farm service agency and insurance company with any crop loss.
