E. coli closes Plattsburgh City Beach to swimming

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – The Plattsburgh City Beach is closed to swimming until further notice after E. coli was found in the water.

A water quality test conducted Wednesday indicated elevated levels of E. coli bacteria.

The beach is still open but swimming is prohibited.

City staff will test the water daily until a clear result comes through.
