Former Vt. trooper pleads guilty to lewd and lascivious conduct

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (WCAX) – A former Vermont trooper has pleaded guilty to lewd and lascivious conduct.

It’s part of a plea deal for Todd Chisholm, who worked for the Vermont State Police from February 1988 to September 2001.

Investigators say Chisholm repeatedly sexually assaulted a child he knew in Vernon during 2003 and 2004.

It was reported to police in 2019.

Despite the maximum sentence being up to five years in jail, Chisholm was sentenced to just 30 days. He will also be on probation for six years.
