BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – As clean-up gets underway for anything from wind to water, the state is encouraging Vermonters to use the contractor registry provided by the Vermont Secretary of State’s office.
According to a 2022 law, contractors performing residential construction valued at $10,000 or more are required to register.
The Secretary of State says it’s a good resource to avoid fraudulent contractors and a helpful resource when doing research about a potential hire, especially in the wake of last week’s flooding.
