KILLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Killington is channeling its inner California for a weekend wine festival.
The 23rd annual Killington Wine Festival starts Friday night at the summit of the mountain with a gala at the Peak Lodge.
Local businesses along the Access Road are also taking part in a wine trail that pairs appetizers with a variety of different wines.
“Four-hundred wines or so represented, 20 different vendors. We have artisan vendors, we have seminars. You can travel to Italy, you can travel to Argentina to taste the wine from there and come get a little education about those areas,” said Beth Sarandrea of the Killington Pico Area Association.
Part of the proceeds from the weekend event benefit the Killington Pico Area Association.
There are still tickets for Saturday’s grand tasting event at the K-1 Lodge.
