Police say probable remains of missing Enosburgh woman found

ENOSBURGH, Vt. (WCAX) – Police say they found the probable human remains of 82-year-old Roberta Martin.

Police say they found what they believed to be Martin’s remains in a wooded area off Sand Hill Road around 11a.m. Sunday. The remains will be taken to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington.

Martin went missing from her Enosburgh home Wednesday.

Members of the Vermont State Police – including the Crime Scene Search Team – say they covered more than 1,500 acres on foot around Martin’s home searching for her.

Police say no one is in custody, and the investigation is active and ongoing.
