Police say both victims were transported to the UVM Medical Center with significant injuries.

Officers last week were able to locate two of the suspects– Bonide Badibanga, 22, and an unnamed 17-year-old– and take them into custody.

Jafar was arrested Tuesday and is being held without bail. Police are also asking for help in locating two other persons of interest.

Police say Badibanga and Jafar were already wanted for violating conditions from a previous incident in June. Badibanga also has a long rap sheet, including an attempted murder incident that took place in 2021.

Anyone who can identify the other possible suspects is asked to call the police in Burlington at 802-658-2704.
