BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Burlington is on the map for a coast-to-coast electric vehicle road trip.
The organization Clean Transportation Coalition — Western Connecticut is doing an EV road trip for the third time, traveling to 16 states, and stopping by Burlington on Tuesday.
The group says they have been doing road trips to show people it is possible to travel long distances in an EV. And this time, they are creating a road map for those interested in trying out a trip themselves.
“I think the hardest part for people is just to, to do it. Most people are just resistant to change. The first time you get behind the wheel of an ev and you’re on an extended trip, there is a little bit of nervousness, but that’s not the time to stop,” said the group’s Daphne Dixon:
For this trip, the 2024 Chevy Equinox will be traveling 4,000 miles.
