BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Brandon teen was arrested today on charges of sexual assault.
Vermont State Police say they received an initial report of sexual assault from one victim in June.
Then through interviews, police say they identified another victim and got enough evidence to charge 17-year-old Mark Jackson of Brandon with the sexual assault of two underaged females.
Officers say one incident occurred in June of this year, while two other incidents happened in the Winter and Spring of 2022.
After reviewing the case, the Rutland County State’s Attorney has requested that Jackson be charged as an adult.
Jackson was arraigned in court earlier today, he pleaded not guilty to three counts of sexual assault and was released on conditions.
