LYNDONVILLE, Vt. (WCAX) – Recovery efforts are underway in Lyndonville after devastating flash floods.
Some Lyndonville residents had to leave their homes behind amid the flooding on Tuesday. Channel 3 is told that some people are still stranded in their homes as of Wednesday morning, as the roads they would take to leave are completely washed out.
Our meteorologists say the parts of Lyndonville that saw the worst damage got 2.75 inches of rain, which is less than the 3-4 inches the town saw earlier this month. However, the ground already being saturated may have contributed to Tuesday’s flooding.
Main road closures include Route 114, Route 5, and Route 2.
