ESSEX, Vt. (WCAX) – Police say a woman who reported being attacked by a pair of dogs in Essex was not bitten.
In July, a woman told the police that she and her dog were attacked by two off-leash pit bulls around Marketplace and Pinecrest Drive. She fell to the ground and was sent to the hospital for treatment.
Following an investigation, police now say the victim was not bitten by any animal and all of her injuries were from falling.
Officers say her dog was not bitten either.
We don’t yet know if the owners of the pit bulls who allegedly had their dogs off-leash will be ticketed for anything.
