Burlington airport joins program to help travelers with disabilities

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The airport in Burlington is joining a program aimed at supporting passengers with disabilities.

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program is an initiative that aims to raise awareness of disabilities that may not be visible.

Wearing the sunflower is a way for passengers to communicate that they may need extra help.

Passengers can request their hidden disabilities sunflower materials in advance from the Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport to be mailed before their travels.
