BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Answers could be on the way for Vermonters suffering from long COVID.
That’s thanks to Senator Bernie Sanders, who introduced the Long COVID Moonshot Act of 2024.
The legislation would provide $1 billion in mandatory funding for ten years to the National Institute of Health to study long COVID and find a treatment.
According to Sanders, more than 22 million adults and one million kids across the country suffer from long COVID.
