LYNDONVILLE, Vt. (WCAX) – The Caledonia County Fair is raising money for flood relief in the Northeast Kingdom.
The fair’s social media says 100 percent of proceeds from opening day on August 21 will benefit Locally Social Gives, Inc., a flood relief fund based in northeastern Vermont.
Those funds will help households in Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans Counties that were hit hard by flooding over the last month. Lyndonville, the fair’s host, was particularly hard hit by back-to-back floods that ravaged many homes and businesses.
Tickets for the opening day cost $15 and include all shows, entertainment, and rides.
