N.Y. senator calls for cell tower policy review

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – In New York’s North Country, one local leader is trying to ensure that you can get a call out.

New York Senator Dan Stec wrote to Governor Kathy Hochul asking her to call on the Adirondack Park Agency to update their cell tower policy.

Stec says not having service can be a major public safety issue for residents and visitors alike.

He is now asking the park agency to revisit what he calls their ‘antiquated policy’ for cell towers, which hasn’t been updated since it was enacted 22 years ago.
