WINOOSKI, Vt. (WCAX) – A longtime downtown Winooski staple is set to close their doors for good next weekend.
McKee’s Pub and Grill will officially close on August 17th, according to a Facebook post by owners, Ryan and Jamie. They cited financial reasons including increased costs, taxes, insurance and the ongoing construction Main Street to why they decided to stop all operations. They say due to all that, sales have dropped 70% and they tried to cutback but it wasn’t enough to pay the bills.
The owners go on to thank their friends, families, and patrons who have supported them over the years. They also thank their staff for their dedication and hardwork.
