Know2Protect campaign offers kids online safety education

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Children’s safety online is front and center this school year, and now one government agency is offering advice to educators.

The Department of Homeland Security is providing resources specifically for educators and other school personnel who work with kids and teens.

The Know2Protect public awareness campaign offers tops and classroom materials to raise awareness about the importance of internet safety, all to prevent online child sexual exploitation and abuse.

DHS is collaborating with teaching and child-facing organizations to share the resources.
