BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Burlington Police are investigating after they say a man was attacked early Monday morning by a group of youths.
It happened around 3:45 a.m. on College Street. Police say the victim was downtown when he was approached by about a dozen people and got into an argument. They say the group, some of whom may be juveniles, struck him multiple times, threw him on the ground and repeatedly kicked him.
Police say the victim was able to run away and was later transported to the UVM Medical Center by fire crews.
It’s the latest in a series of violent attacks downtown in recent weeks, including a recent fatal shooting outside a bar.
