‘Cop on a Rooftop’ statewide event raises money for Special Olympics

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Police in our region are reaching new heights by taking to the roof to raise money for Special Olympics.

‘Cop on a Rooftop’ is a fundraiser taking place at some Dunkin’ Donuts locations across the state on Friday.

At some – but not all – locations, the officers will be sitting up on the roof to greet customers.

According to Special Olympics Vermont, the event raises awareness for the Special Olympics and the almost 3000 athletes they serve.

From 6:30 to noon on Friday, if you donate $5, you will receive a coupon for a free doughnut and for $10, you get a coupon for a hot drink.
