NH man due in court to face murder charges

WHITE RIVER JCT., Vt. (WCAX) – A New Hampshire man accused of first-degree murder is set to face a judge in the Upper Valley.

Police say Paul Lachapelle Jr., 28, of Littleton shot and killed Justin Gilliam, 38, back in June of 2022.

Gilliam’s body was found on Greely Road in Springfield, Vermont, and police believe the murder is drug-related. Lachapelle was arrested in New Hampshire last week and is expected in a Vermont courtroom Friday afternoon answering to charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
