Vermont author releases new book on caring for forests

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Vermont forester has a new book out.

“How to Love a Forest” by Ethan Tapper is available now.

It details what it means to tend to and care for a forest amid a changing climate.

Tapper, who served as the Chittenden County forester for eight years, hopes his writing inspires readers to reexamine their relationships to the natural world.

“A lot of the book is just about asking people to just sort of reimagine what that looks like and being willing to make these really bittersweet and challenging decisions that we have to do to take care of these ecosystems,” Tapper said.
