RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) – Police have closed a road in Rutland as they investigate an incident that left a pedestrian injured in the road.
Rutland police say at about 5 a.m., they responded to a report of an injured pedestrian on Woodstock Avenue near Gleason Road.
The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital in Rutland and later transferred to the UVM Medical Center for treatment. They have not released that person’s name.
Woodstock Avenue is currently closed from Stratton Road to Gleason Road and traffic is being routed away from the scene.
Police are asking all motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area.
