RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) – An organization is calling residents who are good with taxes and people to help their fellow Vermonters navigate the upcoming tax season.
Free tax tips are coming to two Vermont communities and if you’re passionate about personal finance you could help.
The ‘Volunteer Tax Assistance Program’ from the IRS is currently recruiting volunteers for the upcoming filing season for Rutland and Bennington.
It’s all in an effort to assist low and moderate-income people, rural residents, those with limited English proficiency, and seniors, free of charge.
Positions include tax preparers and quality viewers.
