BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The city of Burlington has settled a lawsuit with a victim of police use-of-force– that’s according to our media partners at Seven Days.
They say the city paid Mabior Jok $215,000 to settle the excessive force lawsuit.
It was filed in 2019 stemming from an incident a year prior when body camera footage showed Burlington Police Ofc. Joseph Corrow bringing Jok to the ground, knocking him unconscious.
It happened after officers responded to a reported assault.
