Construction underway at Miller's Run Bridge

LYNDONVILLE, Vt. (WCAX) – Work is getting underway on a damaged covered bridge in Lyndonville.

The Miller’s Run Bridge is an important artery in town, but it’s the frequent target of box trucks that have caused thousands of dollars in damage.

Now the town is partnering with a metal post company to build two metal barriers on either side of the bridge.

The project is going to cost more than $40,000 and the bridge will be closed while work is underway.

Construction started last week and will resume on Monday.
