STOWE, Vt. (WCAX) – A threat sent a Vermont school into lockdown on Thursday morning.
The superintendent of the Lamoille South Supervisory Union says Stowe police got a call at 9 a.m. that a person with a weapon was inside the bathroom at Stowe Elementary School.
The school went into lockdown and police searched the area.
Officers found no threat and students resumed their normal day.
School officials say the threat came from out of state and that similar threats were made at schools across the country.
