ESSEX JCT., Vt. (WCAX) – Authorities say a Milton teen will face charges after allegedly firing a gun out of a car in Essex Junction Tuesday night.
Essex Police say it happened around 11:54 in the area of Main and Church Streets. They say witnesses reported a single shot was fired into the air from a moving car after a “verbal altercation” between the driver of the car and a local resident. Police say they later determined the car was filled with several juveniles between the ages of 14 and 16 and that the shot was fired by a backseat passenger.
The juvenile whose name has not been released, is due in family court on charges of recklessly endangering another person.
