ST. ALBANS, Vt. (WCAX) – A gas leak forced evacuations in St. Albans on Friday.
Fire officials say the call came in at about 11 a.m. for a reported gas leak on Home Health Circle.
They say contractors at work dropped two 100-pound propane tanks, breaking the lines.
Franklin County Rehab and Hawk’s Nest Senior Housing were evacuated as a result.
The leak has since been repaired and people were allowed to return.
