BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – As the weather turns to cooler temperatures, environmental officials are asking you to be careful doing construction this winter.
The Department of Environmental Conservation says there are additional requirements for construction during the winter to protect the state’s waterways.
Because of snowmelt and thawing in the winter, the DEC says it’s even more important to take measures that reduce erosion and keep soil contained.
The DEC has more information on permitting and construction guidelines.
