Art in the Park returns to Rutland

RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) – One of Rutland’s longest running art festivals is back this weekend.

Art in the Park is back for a second time this year, after more than 6 decades in the Marble City.

Saturday and Sunday, tents filled with crafts, food, and music dot Rutland’s Main Street Park.

Despite ongoing construction around the park’s gazebo, vendors say it’s been a smooth ride.

Returning artists appreciate the sense of community each event brings.

“Like fellow artists that will come check-in and say ‘hey how’s your year been, and how and how’s the art how’s your business and its great to see people from the community and beyond to come shop local” Colleen Wilcox of Wander on Words said.

“Not only for the local community, but for the community that loves to come up and just visit Rutland, you know enjoy what you know Rutland has to offer and the surrounding area,” Sean Farrington of Sean Farrington Photography said.

Art in the Park continues tomorrow with free admission from 10-4.
