ALBANY, N.Y (WCAX) – New York trucking interests say the state’s zero-emission reduction goals are too ambitious.
The Trucking Association of New York will be meeting Thursday to highlight concerns about the advanced clean truck rule.
According to the association, regulations passed in 2021 would require a percentage of trucks sold in the state to be zero-emission by next year.
They say the goal is unattainable and are calling for the timeline to be extended. They also add that the state lacks the infrastructure to support the change.
