RANDOLPH, Vt. (WCAX) – Police are investigating the cause of a single-car crash that killed a Randolph woman Wednesday afternoon.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. on Interstate 89 northbound near Williamstown.
Vermont State Police say the car involved was found off the right side in a ditch. Beverly Emerson, 42, a front passenger in the car, was dead at the scene.
The driver, Kristopher Steponik, 38, and a juvenile passenger were transported to Central Vermont Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police say only the child was wearing a seat belt.
