Police look for South Burlington hit-and-run driver

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Authorities are looking for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run Saturday morning in South Burlington.

It happened around 10:14 a.m. at the corner of Airport Drive and White Street, near airport parking. South Burlington Police say a 66-year-old woman was walking her dog and was struck while crossing the street. She was hospitalized with what they call “significant injuries.”

Police say cameras in the area show a compact light green car — possibly a Toyota — fleeing the scene. The victim told officers the car had Vermont plates that possibly ended in either 524, 517, or 514. The car also appears to have a black front fender on the driver’s side.

Anyone with information is asked to call the South Burlington Police at 802-846-4111.
