NY officials launch trail etiquette campaign

ALBANY, N.Y. (WCAX) – New York officials want folks to stay safe on the trails this fall.

The New York Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Wednesday announced a new messaging campaign to improve public safety on state trails.

They have tips for residents and visitors on navigating busy trails safely. It includes specifics for cyclists, pedestrians, and those traveling in groups.

It comes as the parks department reported a record 84 million people visiting last year.
