BERLIN, Vt. (WCAX) – Some not so gouda news out of Berlin Thursday morning. A truck carrying 35,000 pounds of cheese crashed, shutting down a highway for more than 9 hours.
Police say it happened just after 8:15 a.m. in the area of U.S. Route 302 and Berlin state Highway.
The incident caused a shutdown of Route 302 for over 9 hours while crews worked to clean up the scene and repair damaged power lines.
Only minor injuries were reported and the crash is still under investigation.
