BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Expansions coming to low-cost after-school programs in the Empire State.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul awarded $100 million in grants to free or low-cost programs.
About 3.8 million of that will be heading to our region.
The governor’s office says the cash will serve nearly 40,000 children in high-need areas statewide.
The money awarded by the Office of Children and Family Services will fund 238 new or existing programs – 14 of which are in the North Country.
