BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Saturday and Sunday make up youth and novice deer weekend in Vermont.
Anyone 15 or younger who has taken a hunter education course and purchased a hunting license can pick up a free youth weekend deer tag and hit the woods.
Youth hunters must have an unarmed adult with a hunting license accompany them.
If you do bag a buck this weekend, Vermont Fish and Wildlife asks you to stop by a biological reporting station so they can gather data on Vermont’s deer population.
