BARRE, Vt. (WCAX) – The Annual Wheels for Warmth fundraiser wrapped up Saturday. It’s a way to help Vermonters in need stay warm this winter one tire at a time.
Tires dropped off are inspected by the DMV then sorted by size to be sold at a discounted rate
All of the funds from the tire sales go to help with emergency heating assistance for Vermonters during the winter months.
The collection and tire sale has been going on for 18 years now, with over 670-thousand dollars raised to fund heating assistance.
