CONCORD, N.H. Vt. (WCAX) – A New Hampshire ballot measure that would raise the mandatory judicial retirement age from 70 to 75 appears to have widespread support.
With an estimated 84% of votes counted Wednesday morning, Granite Staters supported the measure by a 65% margin, according to preliminary results.
The measure would amend the constitution.
An estimated 31 states and the District of Columbia set mandatory retirement ages. Vermont has the highest at 90.
