Winooski winter farmers market kicked off Sunday

WINOOSKI, Vt. (WCAX) – As the cold weather is moving in some farmers markets have moved inside.

The Winooski Winter Farmers Market started this weekend at the town’s senior center. About 14 vendors will be at the market carrying things like vegetables jewelry honey and food. About two hundred people showed up on the first day of the season. Vendors are grateful for the winter markets as they rely on events like these too keep them in business.

“So I typically do about two markets a week during the summer time. Events like this just really allow me to keep doing what i love. I get to meet new people. I make connections,” said Mykala Moody of Maenadic Moonglow.

The market will be at the senior center until December 29th.
