MORRISVILLE, Vt. (WCAX) – A judge has set bail for a nursing assistant accused of sexually abusing a patient at a Morrisville nursing home.
Paul Williams, 59, of Morrisville, pleaded not guilty last week to sexually assaulting a 95-year-old woman at the Manor nursing home, where he was employed as a licensed nursing assistant.
Court documents say the victim suffered from severe dementia and that a witness reported Williams after hearing the woman call for help and finding him on her bed.
A judge Tuesday set Williams’ bail at $100,000
If convicted, he faces up to 25 years behind bars.
His trial may begin in January.
