BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – New efforts from attorneys general across the country to block bad callers.
New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella is one of 46 calling on the Federal Communications Commission to improve robocall mitigation.
They want the FCC to close what is basically a loophole allowing robo-callers to exploit access to the U.S. telephone network.
Last year, over 144 million robocalls were made to the 603 area code. While not all are illegal, many are scams.
