RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) – The union representing nursing staff at Rutland Regional Medical Center is holding an information picket Thursday to call attention to ongoing contract negotiations.
Union officials say they aren’t getting support from hospital administration and will be holding the day of action starting at 2:30 p.m. to raise awareness and ask for community support. The work action will take place on South Main Street in front of the fairgrounds.
In a statement, Rutland Regional Medical Center officials said they value and appreciate the dedication, hard work, and professionalism of nurses. “We are committed to reflecting that effort in our agreement as we continue union negotiations in good faith. We are confident we will reach a fair and equitable agreement,” they said.
