BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – One Vermont senator is trying to keep your tax dollars from going to the Middle East for weapons.
Senator Bernie Sanders vocally opposed the US sale of weapons to Israel citing the humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian city of Gaza.
The senator says he’ll bring a joint resolution of disapproval to the Senate floor next week to block the sale of weapons to Israel.
Sanders says the war has been conducted almost entirely with American weapons – totaling $18 billion from US taxpayers.
