The centers in Hinesburg and Lyndon, which have been open since August, will permanently close at 6 p.m. on Saturday. They were opened in response to the approval of two major disaster declarations this past July related to flooding.
Residents in Addison, Caledonia, Chittenden, Essex, Lamoille, Orleans, and Washington Counties are able to apply for individual assistance, including emergency housing and unemployment assistance. The Small Business Administration is also offering assistance.
The deadline to apply for FEMA and SBA assistance is Monday.
